UL’s HazLoc mobile App is a valuable tool for industries operating in hazardous locations, particularly those exposed to explosive atmospheres such as oil and gas, chemicals, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, offshore operations, and mining. The app serves a diverse range of users, including designers, manufacturers, distributors, importers, end-users, as well as inspection and regulatory authorities. It offers a comprehensive source of technical expertise that is easily accessible.

The app features include:

 <li>Select Language feature, allowing users to choose from six languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.</li>
 <li>HazLoc Principles section covering:
 <ul>
 <li>Types of explosive atmospheres</li>
 <li>The likelihood of encountering an explosive atmosphere</li>
 <li>Ignition-related properties of such atmospheres</li>
 <li>Temperature classifications based on maximum surface temperatures</li>
 <li>Protection techniques related to electrical and non-electrical ignition sources</li>
 </ul>
 </li>
 <li>Find Your StandardTM feature that identifies applicable standards across twelve national, regional, and international installation principles using five straightforward data points.</li>
 <li>Markings section detailing the required equipment markings according to standards and national or regional regulations.</li>
 <li>IP and Type Ratings feature for comparing ingress protection ratings of equipment enclosures.</li>
 <li>Training Workshops option providing access to both public and private training sessions.</li>
 <li>Request a Quote and Contact Us functionalities facilitating access to tailored solutions and additional support.</li>
 <li>Push notifications through the Stay Connected feature for region-specific technical insights.</li>
